100+ Recruiting Letters Per Day Is Overkill: NCAA Revisits Coaches' Contacts


It fits that category called "If you can't enforce a rule why have it?" The Washington Post reports that In the effort to reform and streamline regulations the NCAA eliminated nearly all the restrictions on coaches contacting recruits: phone calls, texting, emails, Tweets, letters and literature, but left constraint on personal contact. But now the NCAA, responding to a clamor of dissatisfaction from recruits, their families, and even coaches themselves, is going to revisit the situation, all the while knowing any attempt to limit contact will be nearly impossible to administer.
