Ed Rush, former NBA official and now supervisor of the Pac-12 officials, should be fired immediately for placing a $5000 reward for calling technicals on Arizona's Sean Miller. Read all about it below.

Cannot tell you how big daksri johnson is. A big man— Vaughts' Views (@vaughtsviews) April 2, 2013
We haven't had a big guy in the middle since the Big Cuz left. It will be good to have one again.

James Young, another McDonald’s All-American who likely would see his playing time at UK decreased if Wiggins commits, is also trying to persuade Wiggins to join the Cats.
“There are a lot of guys on a great team. Like the Miami Heat, they have a lot of guys on a great team. We’ve just got to get our chemistry together. I would love to have him with us,” he said. “If I have to come in off the bench, that’s fine. James Harden (of Oklahoma City) came off the bench scoring, and I could do the same.”
Whether Wiggins comes or not, I love what I’m hearing from guys like Young.
“One of them is hard enough, but if you have two of them it can be trouble.”
Hey, we do have two of them! (via Hank).

The game resembled UK’s only other blowout loss of the year, when it lost 85-51 at Baylor in the second game of the season. In that first half, the Bears ended the first half on a 25-4 run.
It did. The ladies were just overmatched last night, and no mistake.
I really want Kentucky to win this game. A lot.
Asked Monday about Bielema’s comments, which included a jab at Saban’s record during his time at Michigan State, Saban said, “I really don’t have any reaction to it.”
So, Bielema’s first act at Arkansas is to poke the 4-time NCAA champion Heir to the Bear? Does that sound like a plan to you?
Via Hank. That was always way too weird.

The NCAA has given this new draft date rule a go and it’s a failure. Having players make up their mind within a week after the Final Four (this year April 16) gives players no chance for a real read on their status without the chance to play in Chicago at the draft camp or for teams. The NBA’s deadline of two weeks later is the one that holds real meaning. Still, international players can withdraw from the draft up until 10 days prior to the draft in June. Why shouldn’t American college players be given the same chance? The ACC started this mess by pushing this rule to help coaches fill roster spots in the spring.
This is exactly right. We have our buddies Roy Williams and Coach K et. al. to thank for this rule. Where is the outrage?
I find myself in rare agreement with Goodman on these. Olynyk, I have my doubts about, but otherwise, I pretty much agree on all of them.
Pac-12 coordinator of basketball officials and former NBA referee Ed Rush has been investigated by the Pac-12 for comments made about Arizona coach Sean Miller in meetings that included several Pac-12 referees.
Rush, according to a source within the Pac-12 officiating group, told a group of referees on the Thursday of the Pac-12 tournament in Las Vegas that he would give them $5,000 or a trip to Cancun if they either “rang him up” or “ran him,” meaning hit Miller with a technical or toss him out of the game. Rush then reiterated during a Friday morning meeting, according to one referee in attendance, that officials should take similar action against Miller if he did anything on Friday in the Pac-12 semifinals against UCLA.
I am officially suspicious of all officials, even more so than previously. Whether this was a joke or serious, it does not matter. If Rush isn’t fired, Arizona should immediately sue the Pac-12.
There must be zero tolerance for this type of behavior. You can’t even joke about putting a bounty of any kind on a guy’s head, especially when you are supervising men and/or women who are arbiters of the game.
This conduct, whatever it’s intent, cannot be defended and must be dealt with swiftly and harshly.
“We have concluded that while Rush made inappropriate comments that he now regrets during internal meetings that referenced rewards, he made the comments in jest and the officials in the room realized they were not serious offers,” Scott told CBSSports.com.
To which I say, so what?
It doesn’t really matter whether Rush was serious or joking when he said what he said. All that matters is that he said what he said, and that college basketball fans now know he said what he said. Consequently, that’s the scope through which everything will be viewed going forward, and it’s precisely why it’s ridiculous for the Pac-12 to go forward with Rush.
This is absolutely unacceptable. It is beyond the pale that the Pac-12 should allow him to remain. Arizona should sue the conference immediately.

“On Sunday, March 17, we first learned of the allegation of the events that occurred during the conference tournament,” Byrne said. “Due to the serious implications, we immediately shared our concerns with commissioner Scott and the conference office. We know that an investigation was held and any further issue is a matter for the Pac-12 office.”
If you were an Arizona fan, would you be fine with this? Trust me, I would not.
