Dorian Hendrix of Dayton, OH come on down. Dorian is a 6'1, 215lb LB who plays for Ohio power Wayne HS. Here's what Rivals.com says:
“The 6-foot-1, 215-pound Hendrix is not the biggest linebacker, and he will need to bulk up, especially in the lower body, before he gets to college, but he was easily one of the most explosive linebackers at Monday’s event. Everything Hendrix does is sudden, and he surprised a lot of his opponents with his speed and change-of-direction ability. Hendrix is also an outstanding competitor who seemed to enjoy mixing it up in the pass-rush drill.”
If interested, here are his HUDL.com highlights. This is an important commitment for at least two reasons: one, we need more depth at the linebacker position, and we didn't sign any linebackers in the last class unless some of those players make position changes in college (likely Jason Hatcher). Two, Wayne HS - and the area of southwestern OH - regularly produces three and four star prospects, and it's important for UK to increase its "brand awareness"in the area. Hendrix is a good player to start with.
