Brent, your taste in women is laudable, but your taste in broadcast partners ... not so much. - Jamie Squire
News and commentary from around the Big Blue Internet. Kentucky prepares for Vanderbilt. The SEC looks really weak coming into conference play. Derrick Ansley is cornerbacks coach at Kentucky. More.
Okay, we've all had some fun at the expense of Brent Musburger's slightly creepy infatuation with Alabama Crimson Tide QB A.J. McCarron's hot girlfriend. Can we please just move along now, Twitter freaks? This is really getting old.
For the record, there are three somewhat subjective facts here: One, It's a tad unseemly for an elderly man to verbally ogle hot young women on national TV, but hardly sexual harassment. Two, Katherine Webb is a hot young woman, and is apparently not offended by said verbal ogling. Three, just because a man reaches his seventh decade doesn't mean it is no longer appropriate to comment on subjective fact two above. Give Brent a break, let's talk about basketball, the BCS championship, ABB (anything but Brent).
I swear, social media is surely going to be the death of our civilization. The Mayans were right, they just didn't figure it would take quite this long. Twitterpocalypse is upon us.
Tweet of the Morning:
I still don't get Musburger controversy. If Katherine Webb doesn't have a problem with Brent why should anyone else? Brent is good guy.

At the risk of annoying certain persnickety readers, a resounding, "This!" And:
Today: 6th anniversary of iPhone. I was radio host on 1-9-2007, and called it the Y2K phone. I was a bad radio host.

When we start celebrating the birth of a smart phone, we have reached a social nadir from whence there may be no returning.

Football staff hosting slew of recruits on Saturday | The Kentucky Kernel
Saturday, UK will host four-star dual-threat quarterback Asiantii Woulard (6-3, 215, Winter Park, Fla., Winter Park HS). Woulard originally committed to South Florida, then de-committed in the wake of the dismissal of head coach Skip Holtz after the season. Rivals.com rates Woulard as the fourth best dual-threat quarterback in the class of 2013 and the 120th best player overall.

"His teammates trust him now," Calipari said.
That's probably the single most important thing you can say about a point guard. -
Vanderbilt faces Kentucky with few links to big 2012 win // The Tennessean
The names on the backs of all 10 starting players will be different. So will the stakes. This is just the SEC opener, not the SEC Tournament championship.
Memorial Gym is always a tough place to play, but I like our chances tomorrow.

College football bowl eligibility: What if FCS wins didn't count anymore? // SBNation.com
I've often pondered on this subject, but this article goes a long way to explain why it would be problematic. Still, you could make a rule that teams with six BCS wins get preference over those with an FCS win as a counter.

Conference Reset: The SEC is UK, MU, UF and then everybody else // CBSSports.com
Kentucky -- I realize this flies in the face of our Top 25 (and one) that features Missouri and Florida but does not feature UK. But the Top 25 (and one) is about what's happened on the court while this is a prediction of which team I believe will win the SEC. What can I say? I'm still a sucker for talent. And Kentucky still has more talent than everybody else.
Well, it's hard to criticize that thinking. I happen to agree.
