With Willie Cauley-Stein down, Kyle Wiltjer will have to pick up his game. - USA TODAY Sports
News and commentary from around the Big Blue Internet. Willie Cauley-Stein out with minor injury. UK increases commitment to football by a lot. Women's basketball rolls vs. MSU. More.
Sorry about the lateness of the news. Busy day. It happens
You've all heard by now that Willie Cauley-Stein aggravated a minor knee problem from back in his high-school days and had to have a corrective procedure done. He is out for an indeterminate time, but it shouldn't be more than about a month.
Tweet of the Day:
Just in assistant coach salaries and newly created support staff position salaries, UK is investing an extra $500,000 a year in football.

That's a significant investment, and a sign that Barnhart is serious about upgrading football. Let's hope it pays off.

Cats ponder potential life without Cauley-Stein in short term - Kentucky Wildcats
Cauley-Stein has been bothered by the injury in recent weeks and Calipari said there had been times in games Cauley-Stein needed to come out because of it. Nonetheless, Cauley-Stein could have played through it as he had for years, but that's not the path Calipari or the training staff wanted to take.
Somebody suggested earlier that this was a sign Calipari expects to keep WCS at least one more year, and I think that's right.
