Three people were killed today near Texas A&M in College Station.

Multiple people were shot today in College Station Texas near Texas A&M university. Apparently three people were killed including a Texas constable, one civilian and the suspect.

All of the people who were killed were men, but there were three others injured in the shooting including two law enforcement officers and a female civilian, who is undergoing surgery at St. Joseph's Hospital.

Texas A&M issued a "Code Maroon," which is a warning to students and other on campus to look for a safe place after a report of an active shooter. Apparently it had to do was some sort of disturbance involving an eviction.

An employee with Brazos County said the shooting occurred during an eviction at a residence. The employee said Constable Brian Bachmann, 41, was fatally injured while the eviction was under way. He was reported to have served as a constable for the county for 13 years.

Texas A&M is one of the newest members of the SEC family, and we offer our prayers and support to those who may have been effected by this tragic series of events. Fortunately, most students were not on campus today.
