Today, Anthony Davis signed his first endorsement deal, and it couldn't possibly be more apropos. According to the Chicago Tribune:

No. 1 draft pick Anthony Davis has signed his first pro contract.

Davis, chosen first overall in June by the New Orleans Hornets, finalized an endorsement deal with Nike.

Hey, I can see how that whole unibrow thing goes with the swoosh -- they have very similar characteristics. In fact, if I were an artist, I imagine I could make a picture of Davis' trademark facial feature that looked an awful lot like a couple of swooshes.

For some reason, this just feels right to me, and I can imagine an advertising campaign that somehow ties the 'brow in with the Nike trademark. We have seen weirder promotions in sports advertising, and no mistake.

Davis is in good company, according to SB Nation Chicago:

Nike has signed a number of famous athletes to lucrative endorsements, including Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods and Andre Agassi. Anthony Davis joins a group that includes seven of the last 10 top overall NBA Draft picks to sign with Nike.

Sweet. Fear the swoosh 'brow!
