High School basketball's latest phenom, 6-foot-8 small forward Jabari Parker (2013's No. 1 player), tweeted a list of 10 schools on Wednesday night, allegedly giving the college basketball world a look at his top 10 possible destinations. Listing as Parker does -- UK, Stanford, Michigan State, Kansas, Florida, Duke, BYU, Georgetown, DePaul, and North Carolina. Parker notates at the end of his tweet, "No order."
The Chicago Simeon prospect, and former Sports Illustrated cover-boy, is considered by most analysts to be a program-changing player (not that UK's program needs "changing"), and one that UK would be fortunate to get, considering, as Ben Roberts writes about at NextCats, Parker has long thought to favor Michigan State and Duke.
Parker reportedly plans to pare down his list to five schools by the end of summer evaluations, with an eye toward making a decision in November.
It would be unbelievably awesome if Cal were to somehow get this kid on campus. I just love it when he sticks it to Izzo and K.
