Miami Heat Interested in Darius Miller?

Written by Sam Henson

LeBron James and the Miami Heat need some help. Yes, LeBron is arguably the best player in the league today but it is obvious that he can’t do it all himself. Right now he is surrounded by Dwayne Wade(played for Marquette when they beat Kentucky in NCAA tournament) , Mario Chalmers(played for Kansas when defeated Coach Cal in Championship Game), and Shane Battie(Duke). What is LeBron thinking? Why is he playing with all these anti-Kentucky players? Never mind LeBron, Kentucky alumni Pat Riley is the big cheese in Miami. He is the one responsible for putting these clowns on the roster. What do I think Miami needs? They need a little more Kentucky love. Darius Miller can fill that spot.

Darius has really helped his draft stock with his work in the NBA Rookie Combine. We all know that Darius has talent, it’s just hard for him to show it when surrounded by the other super talent at Kentucky every year. With that said, who better to come in as a role player and help Lebron out? I have watched so many missed three in the current playoff from Shane Battie that I know our man Darius would knock down. Miller knows how to defer and still be productive. That is what he has done for four years at UK. Darius is a glue guy. He did it for UK and I know he can do it with Lebron.

I have a really good feeling that the Heat ownership is thinking along the same lines as myself. On KSR’ daily podcast, guest host Mike Pratt said that he is hearing word that the Heat are very interested in Darius and could very well try to snag him in the first round. So, don’t be surprised if we see Kentucky native Darius Miller playing alongside Lebron in the playoffs this time next year.
