Perhaps unsurprising, but no less disappointing, is the news that 2012 power forward Anthony Bennett (Findlay Prep / Brampton, Ont) has officially dropped Kentucky from his list of finalists. Bennett is now down to UNLV and Oregon, with the Runnin' Rebels the presumed favorite. Kentucky follows Florida and Washington on the cutting block.

With the news that Bennett is no longer considering Kentucky, the Wildcats now have just one scholarship offer outstanding, to combo forward Amile Jefferson (Friends Central / Philadelphia). The Wildcats still may look at a veteran transfer such as Wright State's Julius Mays to provide depth. But at this point, it's worthwhile to consider whether Kentucky is truly done for 2012.
