Big Blue Nation: Big blue to the big easy

After winning all but one game in the regular season; after sweeping the SEC; after all the close calls and the blowouts, Kentucky is heading to the big easy: New Orleans. With back to back final four appearences this UK team is hungry. You can see it in every posession, every dribble, every rebound, every basket and every defensive stop. Also let's not forget in every block, thanks to Mr. Davis. Anthony Davis is everything you want in a basketball player. He has size, his speed for his position, his handle, and most of all his defensive prowess. The only thing I think the kid lacks is bulk. He's a little thin for his height and with that comes the foul trouble he sometimes get's into. When a player with more size bumps Davis and is physical with him, the refs easily call the foul. The kid has a good 10 ft wingspan, so it's easy to say that if his man bumps him when he goes for the block, then he commits the foul. Doron Lamb has really improved his shooting this year he has become our three point threat. If you give this guy even a little bit of space, lights out. Jones has on again off again games, but man when he's on....UNSTOPPABLE. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist...wow...what can I say. He's athletic at a position that demands it, he's a defensive monster, he's a go getter in a sense that pertains to the game. Every loose ball, every tipped pass, every hole is covered because of him. Think of this: If you've ever seen the old Godzilla movies...that's Micaael Kidd-Gilchrist to many of the nations best offenses and defenses. He destroys whatever and whoever is in front of him. I want to say thanks to Darius Miller. Thanks Darius for four years of determination and will to win. The BEST sixth man in the nation and a valuble asset to this team...he's the heart.Marquis Teague is a extremly balanced point guard. He can read defenses well so he can spot the weak spot. He can rattle opposing guards and he can give you that one shot that changes the game or gives momentum. We have some good bench players like Kyle Wiltjer, who plays like a european big man. The team is very talented and very well balanced. For a group of superstars coming out of high school, they are a very unselfish team. I would have to say that this is one of the best teams in recent memory for me, a team that has that chance at the 8th. I have looked forward to every game and every play. I'm sure this is the last time I will see some of them don the Kentucky blue, but it sure has been a fun ride. Our next obstacle is Pitino's boys, we get past them which I am confident we will, it's back to the dance baby and nothing but glory after. So to all of the fans, let's root our boys right to the national title and let's see them bring the trophy home. GO BIG BLUE!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK BOYS!!!!!!!!!! GO GET"EM!!!!!!!!!!!!
