(1) Kentucky vs. (8) Florida
Fri., Mar. 2 - 1:00 p.m. ET
Florida-Kentucky, this battle is as old as Varsity Women's Basketball in the NCAA. No quarter asked, and none given. They will run, they will block, slide, steal, and do anything else they can to get at each other. But his game is going to be about something else. Control.
Florida's task is simple. Control the ball. No turnovers. Use the clock and pace the game. Kentucky, not so much. UK has to not only control the tempo, which they normally do well, but they also must control their execution on the court. They have to make shots when they get open, they have to take advantage of Florida's shaky ball handling, and they have to control themselves enough to make every trip down the floor count. Kentucky does that, and a win is in the bag. Both games between these two teams have been decided by less than five points. Which is surprising considering the turnovers that Florida has been forced into. Kentucky just has not made them pay when they get them down. Time to change all that.
The talking is over, it is time to play...
