In my 94-feet feature at CoachCal.com, I look back at two of the most memorable Senior Night performances in Kentucky history, and offer a scouting report on the Georgia Bulldogs. In addition, I remember several of the highlights, from this season, of the Wildcats 51-game home winning streak. Here's an excerpt:
And on the last day of 2011, the UofL Cardinals made the short trip down Interstate-64 to renew the red-hot rivalry between the Cats and Cards. For the third year in a row the Wildcats did not disappoint, as two freshmen, Davis with 24 points and MKG with 18, led UK to victory in a 69-62 defensive battle. Neither team shot well, but Kentucky controlled the boards, 57-31, keying the Kentucky win. MKG snagged 19 boards, Jones 11, and Davis 10, out-rebounding UofL by nine all by themselves.
