Mississippi Rebels at Kentucky Wildcats: Second Half Open Game Thread
Well, that half was interesting, and the Mississippi Rebels made it that way with great play from Murphy Holloway, Terrance Henry, and Jelan Kendrick. But the Wildcats responded to every challenge and ended the half making 3 straight baskets from 3-point range, surrendering only a single free throw, to take an 8-point lead.
We need better play in the second half. Mainly, we need more patience.

Hey, didn't know TJ had a floater in the toolbox!!
expectations are premeditated resentments - cheshirecat
Oh, I certainly agree!! But haven't seen that from TJ this year...
Nice expansion of his game…
If your wings don't sweep....
That Jones floater ...
… is just something you never see from a player that size.
Great stuff.
A Sea of Blue -- Kentucky Sports for the Discerning Fan
Never much liked
that running floater, but Lamb, Teague, and now Jones are changing my mind!!!

I'd prefer a jumper off the glass too, but hey, whatever works, right??
If your wings don't sweep....
It's a good shot for a guard to have
normally forwards don’t need it, cuz they should be looking for contact moreso…
expectations are premeditated resentments - cheshirecat
Well, there was a foul in the first half that they decided to give to Lamb instead
even though if there was a foul, it clearly appeared to be on Miller

Gotcha! Thanks for the update...
Could have sworn he had 2, now I know!

What career did he go on to after basketball?
by bluegrassgal on Feb 18, 2012 5:15 PM EST up reply actions
According to Wiki
After his playing career, Givens was an NBA television color analyst for various networks and teams, most notably with the Turner Broadcasting System (TBS) and the Orlando Magic for both the Sun Sports and FS Florida cable stations from the team’s inception in 1990 to 2004 before being replaced by Matt Guokas.
Blue... there is no other color to Bleed !!!
Special note to this
named that year’s Final Four Most Outstanding Player due in most part to his 41-point performance in Kentucky’s 94-88 victory over Duke University in the championship game.
Blue... there is no other color to Bleed !!!
Well, there a prime example of going for the block and not getting a rebound!
If your wings don't sweep....
He's really good from the stripe on in... Outside of that, not so much.
If your wings don't sweep....
Great response by Kentucky to the Ole Miss challenge.
If I’m Coach Cal, and this game is a victory, I don’t fail to mention that.

From CBSSports
Terrence Jones had 15 points and 11 rebounds to lead No. 1 Kentucky to a 77-62 victory over Mississippi on Saturday, the Wildcats’ 50th consecutive win at home.

What am I missing? Help me out.
I didn’t do the math, but I see we lost on Senior Night March 4th 2009, BCG’s last home game. Unless you count the NIT win at Memorial as a home win?
Blue... there is no other color to Bleed !!!
I think BCG gets credit for that 1 win that started this streak

It looks like BCG's win AT Memorial started the home win streak
I think?? So I guess Cal is 49-0. (Guess I will have to take back his gifted 50 win ball too. ‘-)) He’s gotta be getting close to 500 … again.
