Kentucky Live Practice Open Thread

Yes, we are a little crazy here, just as Coach Cal assures us -- but in a good way.(via ThrasherDave)

I admit I feel a tiny bit foolish posting this, but it's worth it for no other reason than the novelty of the thing, and it might be the last one we ever see done this way. Also it was requested, and I live to serve the Big Blue Nation.

You can find the live stream here at the UKAthletics.com website.

So enjoy!

This may clinch it: we Cat fans are weird.

Seriously. We’re watching a practice. A hyped practice, but a practice nonetheless.

I’m hugging you all in my mind ;-)

At least in the case of the practice, there may actually be SOMETHING to watch

UK fans, myself included from time to time, were watching a DOOR. What sane person watches a DOOR?

Missed Opportunity

No questions of Mitchell re: 2-game losing streak and Vols blowout, poor journalism. But hey it’s a marketing program.

So you get a chance to ask Coach Cal a question

and the best you can do is “who was your favorite player to coach?”

Isn’t that like asking “who is your favorite child?” ;-)

by CAWebb on Feb 15, 2012 4:31 PM EST reply actions

I have seen.....

Twany needing to step it up….
Harrow needing to be out on the court…..it is killing him not to be playing….
Kyle gets floor time because he listens, is very coachable and does what he is told
and MKG is the same in practice or a game…..!!!

by Greg Alan Edwards on Feb 15, 2012 4:44 PM EST reply actions

Gae

Harrow is a future Ace in the hole. Wait till Cal springs him next year. Along with the returnees.

by bigboyblue on Feb 15, 2012 5:05 PM EST up reply actions

He is one of those things that has me really excited about next year.....

I know we don’t know all the pieces, but stay or go for Marquis Teague, we will have a point guard next year who has two seasons running Cal’s offense, at least in practice.

Give Harrow some guys to feed in the paint, and we are going to be tough again next year.

I am now and shall forever be the Cat in The Hat, The Artist Formerly Known As ABC!!!

by Greg Alan Edwards on Feb 15, 2012 8:03 PM EST up reply actions

Seriously

If Teague stays (and I think our run in March will determine if he stays/goes), then we will be in great hands (literally and figuratively) with the offense next year.

Teague or Harrow can run the show, or both if needed. It will be very interesting to see who stays and who we get for next year. The roster, as usual, will be quite different.

It’s a pipe dream but- imagine if we only lost Miller, Vargas and AD? How loaded would we be!?!

That was just a glimpse of what was coming

Rick P was getting his pieces all lines up. Not too long after that evil game and just 2 before it all came togather. It’s nice to see that a lot of the guys in the mardi-gras miracle got that banner later.

Hopefully that’s the same as Wall and Boogie, they were just a couple years too early.

I was in college and had planned on going to watch a movie with my roommate

and, for whatever reason, decided to stay home and watch that game. He went to the movie and when he got back, did not believe me that UK was down 30 or so at the time. I never believed UK would come all the back, even when they got it down to 10 or so.

What a game!!

(btw, I have no idea what the movie was to this day)
