Mike Slive, SEC commissioner, sits down with USAToday's George Schroeder to discuss the condition of the SEC after the recent addition of Texas A&M and Missouri, the effect of expansion, the demise of the Big East, and the concept of "super conferences". Slives' comments are guarded at best and noncommittal at worst but a good read nevertheless:
I don't think there's a move toward anything. I think there's a reality but a movement implies some intended purpose. That's not the case at all. Each of us, we are who we are.
