Scrappy Transylvania gave Kentucky all sorts of difficulty in the first half.
That was a first half that could have been better. Turnovers, missed wide-open jumpshots, ill-advised passes and one offensive miscue after another really hampered Kentucky's effort in the first half.
Defensively, the Wildcats were stifling, holding a dangerous-shooting Transylvania Pioneers team to only 18 points. That's a very good thing.
Kentucky can play much better than this. Hopefully, they will in the second half.
