Recruiting Repercussions of Jokers Firing — ESPN

On the front page of ESPN.com this morning are several articles on college football recruiting, and one in particular about Jalen Battle and Joker. It’s well worth the read. We (fans, media, etc.) typically focus most of our attention on a coach’s firing to valid issues like: the next coach, booster support, holding on highly-rated recruits but we tend to forget about the recruits whose commitments the next coaching staff likely won’t honor for whatever reason. There’s a human interest story there, and this ESPN article reports on Jalen Battle and Jacob Hyde and the uncertainty in their lives brought about by Joker’s firing (but I strong suspect the next coach, whoever he is, will honor Hyde's commit).
