After a blazing start, the Kentucky Wildcats wind up up 13 points after some lights-out three point shooting by the Tennessee Volunteers.
Kentucky has to be better on the perimeter, but they could hardly be better defending the two. A lot of game left, though.

A non UK note. During the first half the announcers said ST Mary’s is coming to Murray. As the resident WCC expert and having seen Murray play (see my post about the JP) all I can say is FORGET THE COST GET A TICKET AND GO TO THIS GAME.
It will be amazing. Heck I might travel back to the JP for it. Wow what a great match up.

Darius seems to mean more to us as the season goes. Initially I thought he would be invaluable early and then the young talent would take over… Older talent matters as much later in the year as early. This may be for modern ball, the best mix of young talent/experience we will see for a long, long time.

So far this has been a complete butt whipping. The score doesn’t look that bad but only because Woolridge had an amazing few minutes. It might get under 10, heck UT could take the lead, but the Cats have completely whipped them

These are ok. I think they would be better if the Kentucky and the numbers were in blue and everyone wore proper socks like MKG.

i love this team so much
I thought 2009-10 was the greatest collection of talent ever. This year’s team is almost making me forget them. Anthony Davis is an even more unique player at his position than John Wall was at his… He is the most dominant defensive presence UK has EVER had! Plus MKG playing harder than any cat in recent history (apologies to Deandre), Teague coming into his own, Miller being the steadying hand, and Terrence being Terrence again…. Lamb is just icing on the cake. I have never had so much fun watching a team play!
OK so I missed the game
BUT only because I was driving down to Knoxville! I should wear my Uk gear the next 3 days down here. I assume the guys played well looking at the box score. Davis had a nice game from the numbers?!
