Kentucky men not the only dominant team in college basketball
The University of Kentucky men's basketball team is the all-time winningest team with an incredible 2060-646-1 record and this season are 21-1 so far and are ranked #1.
But John Calipari and Co. are not the only team dominating SEC college basketball this season. Matthew Mitchell and the UK women's team are also having a fantastic year. The Wildcat women are 20-2 so far and are ranked #6 in the polls.
For many years, the UK women have been an afterthought trying to get out of the shadow of their male counterparts. This year, the Wildcats have been getting up with the ranks of top teams like UConn, Notre Dame, Baylor, and Tennessee. A'Dia Mathies is a candidate for player of the year and Crystal Riley and Keyla Snowden are also top players.
So, watch out for the Kentucky women's basketball team come March Madness.

Well, Dashing Rachel
I think the women’s team kicks major booty. I don’t think I’ve ever witnessed defense played like this team plays defense. It’s total dedication. Total commitment, and Mitchell has the players to execute it.
Check Greg Edwards’ post just to the right of this comment in the FanPosts. You’ll find UK Hoops has plenty of supporters at ASoB.
Maybe if the planets and stars align correctly in March UK could have multiple NCAA Championships in BB
Now wouldn’t that be something.
A man is nothing more than a summation of his scars!
Well,
the world is supposed to end Dec 21st so if we are ever going to do it, now would be the time. :)

I want to at least see the first Hobbit flick before it ends - I think the release date is 12-14 so I'll have a week to prepare for the end
After watching the flick I may pull a Woody Harrelson and and go camp out at Yellowstone and wait for the big eruption.

I love to watch them play
I kept track of them earlier but Valerie Still got me hooked on the LadyKats in the early 80’s. I’ve been a serious follower ever since. I would love to see their senior night held in Rupp and the place be full, even if it took reduced ticket prices.
"SPORTS"--Not interested----"CATS"--Pull up a chair,I've got all night.
Definitely Moving Up
The talent level for Lady Cats is certainly improved over the recent past and with the recruiting trends plus Samarie Walker’s transfer from perennial power Connecticut it appears the trend is continuing. Having said that my overall perception is that there is a way to go before the program reaches elite status with the areas to be addressed being more size (both bulk and length) and better coaching in terms of play design and execution. Not disparaging Coach Mitchell’s methods or abilities but today the team relies too much on effort (see my comment on Postmortem) and not enough on basketball plays. Watch Notre Dame, Connecticut and UT and you’ll see that to which I allude.
I truly do watching them play and root hard for and appreciate their success.

I'm excited about the finish to this year
And even more excited about next year. The Lady Cats don’t lose much and an extra year of experience for the young players means I’m thinking National Championship.
