Random Ramblings, UK-UALR
Congrats to Darius Miller for joining the 1,000 point club; his outside shot looks like it may be back...........I think Marquis Teague will be the 1st John Calipari PG to NOT make the '1 & done' jump to the NBA lottery pool - he simply looks lost too much, & may be thinking too much; no real outside shot, & just not ready for NBA..............I guess it was really asking too much to think UK would have no significant letdown after the big & physical win over U of L, but UK totally sleptwalked thru the 1st 25 minutes of this game, & just didn't have their heads in the game; almost looked like a flu bug swept the team for much of the game................I just HAVE to wonder why Coach Cal didn't attack, press, & take it to a UALR team missing its 6'10" best player; I really think UK, w/ superior talent, should force the tempo in EVERY game; otherwise, you allow teams to hang around, & hang around..............I still think UK MUST come up w/ some semblance of a zone, as it will be needed somewhere down the road, to protect a player(s) in foul trouble, or to just confuse the opponent; unfortunately, Cal simply doesn't have one...............Anthony Davis is simply a freak of nature (I like the nickname announcer Dave Baker gave tonight - "The Long Arms of the Law") - better than "The Brow"................MKG looked ill or just exhausted; I hope his ankle injury is minor.....................TJ grabbed some strong boards, but just isn't back to his best ball - IMHO, he just needs to play & not look like he's so worried about his finger, & actually look like he's enjoying this, & not enduring it - I have to think an NBA GM will take a long hard look @ his sometimes Rod Rhodeseque attitude (he's The Riddler w/ so many question marks right now).................I was really hoping to see Beckham get some significant minutes tonight, & finally score his 1st point as a Wildcat; unfortunately, w/ the tight game til midway thru 2nd half, not possible..................guess Jarod Polson thought he'd get some PT tonight, but UALR had other ideas.................Doron (The Assassin) Lamb played the point much better than MT tonight; I don't think it was a coincidence that UK's run came w/ MT on bench w/ 4 fouls.....................I had thought UK would have made MAJOR strides in half-court offense over the Christmas break - it has not happened; WAY too many Billy Fried Gillispie like half-court offense moments, w/ players standing around, no ball movement, & the PG just dribbling, aimlessly; what the hell happened to the dribble drive?................if Brandon Knight were the PG on this team, w/ his outside shot & basketball IQ, our chances of winning the NCAA would be much, much improved...............I'm predicting tonight was the end of the Freedom Hall games, @ least for a while - a LOT of empty seats, very opposite what it used to be like back 'in the day' - course most of those games were played vs. Notre Dame.
All said, a win is a win is a win

Your use of ellipses is truly dizzying but this made me laugh
(he’s The Riddler w/ so many question marks right now)
Random thoughts.......
the ellipses illustrate the truly random nature of my post; it literally comes as a stream of consciousness thing, for better or for worse. I did the same thing for 6 or 7 years on an AOL UK message board…………………………………….:)

I also give you credit
for choosing a Dennis Miller quote that doesn’t sound like it was pulled from his tortuous MNF days. The one you are using actually makes sense.
