Photo Gallery of New Platinum UK Uniforms

The gray is darker than I thought it would be based on the "Platinum" moniker. All in all, they're not so bad. UK blue goes with anything. Carolina, Florida, the Cuse, on the other hand... those unis will be ugly.

They are ugly, and that's the plain truth....

and the color is not UK Blue…..Nike said so…..they didnt try to match school colors, they chose these accent colors from a palette of “electric” colors……they did it with everyone. They just got close.

Electric UK Blue. I like the sound of that. :-)

Greg, I have purchased many, many things that are UK blue. I can tell you from experience there are many shades of UK blue on the market. Some are bright and some not so much. Even the bright ones have a variance, though sometimes small. I would guess if you lined the unis up over the years that are supposed to be the true UK Blue, you could notice the difference. Each company has their distinct royal blue color, and they probably are all a little different.

Just for one example, the officially licensed UK plaid is not a bright royal blue. It is a milder form of UK blue. Electric UK blue sounds beautiful, still.

Blue... there is no other color to Bleed !!!

I see it as an abomination and an abuse of power……not to mention some money making scheme……

but, on occasion, it has been suggested that I get overly intense about things like this, I don’t see it, but hey, I am not perfect, so it is possible, ;-)

I don't get worked up anymore about things not matching the "exact" color.

Remember the furor over the denim unis in 96, which looked too much like North Carolina blue? I don’t think any UK jersey color will ever be as “off” as that was, but once the Cats won the national championship in them, everyone stopped complaining. :-)

UK colors definitely go best with the unis.

Hate to say it but Duke’s blue isn’t bad either. The rest of the color combos don’t cut it.

I love that

they advertise them as “The Game’s Lightest Uniform”. Really? Has uniforms being too heavy been a real problem in the past? I’m thinking if your players are getting fatigued early because their uniforms are too heavy, you probably need to recruit better athletes!
