Thanks so much for the video

It’s good for younger fans to see.

Rex was John Wall before there was a John Wall (but a much better outside shooter).

I was fortunate to see most of UK’s home games while Rex was there. He was awesome.

Rex was much more amazing than John Wall.

Rex was just a step below Pistol Pete.

Those teams were

quick to shoot,
quick to pass,
quick to cut off passing lanes.

No wonder they were fun to watch, despite less than outstanding W-L records (in ’87, at least). Did you notice how many times the UK players were still getting rebound position while the ball was in the air while the opponents were standing and watching? Not every time, but pretty often.

Being that I am from Owensboro and grew up in the 80's

Is it biased to say Rex is my favorite Wildcat of all time…..well if so I don’t care, I can remember emulating his shot in my backyard hoop CHAPMAN FOR THREE ITS GOOD!!

Word.

I loved to watch him, and back then, I could act like him… mostly. Dunking was out of my wheelhouse at 5’10" with a 7’ reach.
