As SEC Media Days continue in Hoover, Alabama, more and more coaches are giving mock-worthy material. We won't do too much mocking right now, but there are a few funnies so far. Mark Richt did bring a message of hope to Georgia Bulldogs fans, according to Dawg Sports, but so far, no comments rising to the level of turkey insemination. Pity.

"I sleep really good every night when my head hits the pillow."
Auburn coach Gene Chizik. One word, Gene -- inception. I hear the NCAA is working on it. -
"I do twit...twet...tweet? I guess it's called?"
Joker Phillips on being social media savvy. I'm thinking not so much, in his case. - More on the neverending Cam Newton investigation.

Donald Russell, Alex Smith Transfer From Kentucky To Georgia State Football - SB Nation Atlanta
That's two nice pickups for Georgia State. Fortunately, these were players Kentucky could afford to lose due to depth a the respective positions, which is, after all, probably a big part of why they are gone.

Chinese great Yao Ming retires from basketball
Sorry to hear about this. Ming was a great player, and it really bums me to see it shortened by injury. -
Do these people really know anything about the players they write about?
Headlining the class is Anthony Davis, a power forward from Chicago who ESPN ranked as the best player in the 2011 class. Calipari also signed Michael Gilchrist, a silky-smooth shooting guard from New Jersey, ranked third in the class of 2011 by ESPN. As if those two weren’t enough, Calipari raided Indiana for the state’s best player in 6’2" guard Marquis Teague. ESPN has him ranked as the seventh best prospect in the class giving Calipari three of the top ten in the class of 2011 -
Jon Hood's knee injury was a "freak thing."
It has been a while since we had a major injury. I hope this is the last one for another long while. -
Faster, please.
Dennis Thomas needs to find another position, somewhere far, far away from the NCAA Committee on Infractions. Just listen to this guy. -
Who's best in late-game situations?
Calipari gets a mention, but from former assistant Josh Pastner. -
Go on, take the money and run.
Wooo hoo hoo. -
What Jon Hood's injury means to the Wildcats.
I think a medical redshirt is in the interests of Kentucky and Hood. Rushing back from an injury like this is never a good idea. -
"I've never heard this type of buzz going around with our players, and that's exciting to hear." -- Joker Phillips
Well, that sounds good to me. - Chris Low says Stuart Hines is underrated.

The Ballad of Stuart Hines - Garnet And Black Attack
Great interaction by a GABA blogger and Stuart Hines, UK's outstanding offensive guard. -
Kentucky's defense returns their top 11 tacklers from last year.
Let's hope Rick Minter can help get more out of that defense. -
"Yeah. I'm going to try kick returns," Trevathan said. "I'm serious."
Well, who knows? -
Proposals, proposals, proposals.
Slive is a smart guy -- too smart to think most of what he proposes will actually be adopted. -
History is not on the Cats' side. The only team in the SEC East in which they are favored in all-time record is Vanderbilt, and that record is close at 41-38-4. Others are not as close - Florida 44-17, Georgia 50-12-2, Tennessee 44-31 and South Carolina 14-7-1 - all in favor of the opponent. Kentucky's all-time marks against West opponents aren't any better, trailing against Alabama (35-2-1), Auburn (25-6-1), Ole Miss (27-13-1) and LSU (38-16-1). The Wildcats lead the series against Mississippi State (21-17) and Arkansas (4-2).
