UK men’s basketball junior guard Jon Hood suffered a torn right ACL playing in a pick-up basketball game on Monday.

Tough news for Hood, who was expected to contend for backup 2 minutes this year. The Cats will now be relying more heavily on Stacey Poole's development, or "go big" at times with Darius Miller playing some minutes at the 2.
Hood is out indefinitely, which means there's still a chance he'll be back this season. Given the usual recovery timetable from ACL surgery, it's more likely he takes a redshirt and comes back as a fourth-year junior next season.

Tough, tough news for Hood
Maybe the redshirt year can help him further develop. As an older player, he can most likely contribute even more.
