Kentucky Wildcats NBA Draft Representation: new record
UK sets new record in back-to-back drafts. I suspected, but did not know it for sure. Somebody will claim Kanter doesn't count, but we know the truth.

Enes is a new category and a new record all by himself!
Enes as a “student coach” drafted as a player is a first for any NCAA school, and thereby sets the standard,.. and the “record” for this category. As to the other record, well if it is for student sdrafted as players by the NBA from a school, then Enes would count. If on the other hand it is for “college players” drafted by the NBA then he would not.
But I think it will be a long time before any other school has a “student coach” drafted to play by the NBA. LOL

If Cal keeps this up
I won’t have an NBA team to root against. But I can live with that.

Set a new record?
Can you set any other kind? Still waiting for sports reporters to get that one right: set a record.
I heard David Stern announce Kanter as from Istanbul, Turkey, and the University of Kentucky. I’m sure Tipton heard it, too. Can we expect another 5-page letter from the NCAA?
Yes, it's tautological.
As to the NCAA, well, I mentioned that below in the Linkapalooza. I was anticipating a 10 page letter. Five pages is so six days ago. :-)

I don't see what the big deal with Kanter is
The kid went to class and attended the University of Kentucky. So he didn’t play basektball there. So what? Athletes pick and choose how they are announced all the time. I even see football players who intro themselves on national broadcasts as being from Such and Such High School. But we know they went to college.
If Kanter says he was from UK, he was from UK. The NBA will say whatever the player wants. I guarantee that when he’s announced in the starting line-up for the Jazz he will be introduced “And now… at center… 6’11”… from Kentucky… ENES KANTER!!!!!!!!!!!!"
Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."
Makes you love Enes even more after how he gushed about the bbn and UK

If people (incorrectly) claim that our players don't go to class
it doesn’t make any sense to take issue with our claiming of a player who ONLY went to class. Not that haters are bound by sense.
