Evan Daniels and the Scout.com team have been on the ball recently. It's still extremely early, but here's the updated list of 2013 prospects.

Per Scout, Kentucky targets are: Jabari Parker (#1 overall), Julius Randle (#2), Nerlens Noel (#3 - offered), Chris Walker (#4), Kuran Iverson (#8), Jonathan Williams (#9), Solomon Poole (#24), Isaiah Lewis (#39), Tyler Ennis (#50).

By the way

I’ll be posting a 2013/14 board in the near future, if for completeness more than anything.

I mean, these kids are still sophomores and freshmen, so it’s really early to tell what will happen to them. Then again, Matt Painter at Purdue already has 4 c/o ’13 commits, so coaches are clearly scouting…

Painter Lines 'Em Up Early

4 in 2012 and 2013 classes already.

  1. 46 rated Kendall Stephens is the son of ex-Boilermaker Everette Stephens, who picked Purdue over UK in 1980’s. The UK booster that I see at AP racetrack is a close friend of Stephens family.

If memory serves me correctly, BCG was criticized for offering to such young players.

Double standard, perhaps? Nah. [Sarcasm alert]

Not The Same

Painter offers rising seniors and rising juniors.

Gillispie offered as early as 8th grade.

Kentucky is targeting a #50 player?

Wait what? Is it because his name is Ennis?

List is ridiculously early

And Scout has a habit of overlisting. Clarity will come as time passes.

That said, #50 ain’t too shabby of a ranking.

Top 50

That was Leonard Hamilton’s limit.

He wouldn’t anyone higher than that.

If he were at UK in the 1990’s, he would have missed Jeff Brassow, Anthony Epps, Mark Pope, Derek Anderson, Cameron Mills, Nazr Mohammed, Jamaal Magloire, et al.
