NCAA Rule Change Has Huge Impact On NBA Draft

According to AP/ESPN the NCAA has voted to change the deadline for players to make decision on entering the NBA draft from this year's May 8 to mid-April, effective next year. For all practical purposes this removes the test-the-waters option and requires the player to either sign with an agent or remain in school. Considering the talent of UK's incoming class the impact is huge and likewise will register with Knight, Jones and Liggins. The timing of the decision obviously puts the ball in to the court of the NBA and causes one to wonder if there wasn't some discussion (collusion) between the NCAA and NBA relating to the consequences of the rule change on collective bargain negotiations.
