are we just that fast, or do these teams just seem slow to anyone else?

When you don't set a good example

for the team, it can lead to losing the team.

What a miserable way

to end a season that could have been. I have a tiny bit of sympathy for the players but none for Pearl. Well, I guess we won’t have sddbaker to kick around anymore.

Hamilton should have already voluntarily resigned.

He is an embarassment to the school and his profession. I have never seen an AD anywhere in the country keep their job after a debacle like Tennessee has been the last couple years.

I think he just tried

to save his skin by throwing Pearl to the wolves, but the wolves are craving bigger prey.

If I just heard right,

Michigan set NCAA Tourney record by not hitting a free throw in the game. Get beat by thirty and the other teams doesn’t even hit a free throw. Beyond embarrassment and into the realm of utter humiliation.

There is going to be physical shedding of blood over on RTT before the night is through.....

it is getting rough over there…..

Never seen a team fall apart like that in a second half…….that was worse than our meltdown against Georgetown back in the day.

Pearl needs to resign if he cant do better than that, no matter what the NCAA says.

by Greg Alan Edwards on Mar 18, 2011 2:57 PM EDT reply actions

Careful

some of us will never forget that second half. It ranks up there with the you-know-shot. Burned in my brain forever. I thought our team had “smoked” a few at half it was so strange. This UT performance was strange as well. I watched the last ten minutes only so can’t compare. I do think the Hamilton statemetn was criminal even in the circumstances.

by CAWebb on Mar 18, 2011 4:27 PM EDT up reply actions

Glancing in on Rocky Top Talk,

the anger is directed at Hamilton, not Pearl. Pearl had to be reveling in his misery because he has so many persecutors. I still don’t think he can survive a one year suspension if it happens.

That's OK, no offense was taken,

just trying to keep the record straight. Over on KSA trash talk is in full swing. Mocking UL for losing to Morehead. The way we played yesterday, Morehead would have probably taken us out as well. I do believe in Karma, I do, I do, I do.

KSR advertises, UK news in the most ridiculous manner...ASoB for the discerning fan

I find both claims to be true both in articles and discussion. KSR…many, many comments come across as young, brash and foolish. IMO, KSR is not a site to have thoughtful comments and/or discussion.

However, there are some funny pictures like Pitino (KSR would write Fifteino) and the Card mascot with their heads in the hands together.

by blue oregon on Mar 18, 2011 5:41 PM EDT up reply actions

If there wasn't already a good enough case for Pearl's dismissal...

then I think today sealed the deal. Losing 8 of your last 12 games is bad enough. Getting absolutely humiliated in the round of 64 is inexcusable for a team that is as talented as UT can be.

I don’t see how they can justify keeping Pearl (or Hamilton for that matter) at the university considering the NCAA violations that have occurred there in recent times. UT’s athletic department is not in a good place, that’s for sure.

It isn’t going to hurt Bruce that bad in the end. Some desperate mid-major is likely to pick him up with a decent salary. It’s the school that’s going to have to suffer.

While looking in on Rocky Top Talk

I did not see a single post calling for Pearl’s head, in fact many of them want him to survive this. A few people there don’t see how he can but no one was defending the AD. They want him to take the fall for this.

I woke up feeling BLUE this morning. It's gonna be a great day.

We get the 1215 game tomorrow, nice

For us out of market folks that means that CBS won’t be able to switch to another game as we start blowing them away!

by sweasyf on Mar 18, 2011 3:57 PM EDT reply actions

I think under the

four telecast system this year, they are staying with their games in their entirety and keeping you informed on the other games in case you want to switch to them. I like that and wonder how much the outrage from UK fans, and others I’m sure, angry because they switched away from their games in the past may have influenced or inspired that decision.

I noticed during FLA's big runup yesterday

that they took some extended breaks and checked in on the other games, but they did keep coming back, although a few minutes game time were missed each time.

by sweasyf on Mar 18, 2011 4:03 PM EDT up reply actions

They have no excuse for doing that

while the game they promised is playing. I guess they will never learn their lesson.

by kywineman on Mar 18, 2011 4:05 PM EDT up reply actions

It wasn't a big miss that I saw

just an extended break from a media TO and then a stop at the “desk” for some scores and highlights. Went 45 sec – 1 min or so past in-bounds

by sweasyf on Mar 18, 2011 4:27 PM EDT up reply actions

George Mason making a nice comeback

It would be nice to see the Colonial League knock off the Big Bad East Conf. Also I sure would like to see Georgia win tonight. The only bracket I have left that still looks decent (only 3 misses) needs a Bulldog win today. Its been a bad year for the brackets.

With the 1-3-1 defense WVU employs....

I would expect Uk to be able to find Josh and/or TJ open underneath.

Calipari v Huggins....Each team and season is different but this is troubling....
But in games between the two, Huggins holds an overwhelming lead, with an 8-1 mark. That’s certain to be topic heading into Saturday’s game at Tampa.

Calipari may need to get creative tomorrow so that Huggins isn’t just sitting there knowing everything he will do. This trend has to stop and I think it will.

I have always found it amazing how several games on different channels.....

with different start times can all be on commercial at the same time….I hate advertisers and ignore all ads

If a commercial

makes me laugh it would give an edge to that product if I were in the market for it. If a commercial irritates me, I will find a competitor to buy from.

if i watch the commerical, i must be slacking....

as soon as the music queues up and the they flash the score, i am changing the channel. They take advantage of viewers.

seven and wineman

I record all tv on my DVR. Never watch commercials. I can record 2 and watch 1 at the same time. I have two systems in my family room. so I record 4 at once.

I like to laugh and

a few commercials are very good at comedy. Mostly I ignore them or change the channel. I am particularly irritated by the Bobby Hurley comfortable in my skin crap they are showing every few minutes.

I just saw that one for the first time a few minutes ago. Nauseating. Particularly the part about how "He succeeded because he “wanted” it more than the next guy". Please.

I have strange taste for comedy in commercials

One of my favorites was the one of two young adults on a bicycle built for two. The girl on the front seat had this gross arm pit hair which was close to 3’ long and it would whip back and smack her boyfriends face.
