Kentucky 34, Florida 29: Second Half SEC Championship Thread

That was an exciting half of basketball from both the Kentucky Wildcats and Florida Gators, and it is very encouraging to see Eloy Vargas and Doron Lamb play so well. Lamb did not shoot the ball well at first, but he is moving easily and has found ways other than 3-point shots to contribute to Kentucky's halftime lead.
Terrence Jones is still struggling to find his game offensively, but he has been a monster on defense, blocking three shots in the first half and holding Vernon Macklin and Alex Tyus to 2 points combined. What isn't going so well is Chandler Parsons is having a good game and has 3 offensive rebounds so far. Right now, UK is getting murdered on the offensive glass, and that has to change in the second half.
The second half is Kentucky's opportunity to be a #3 seed. They need this win to increase their chances to win in the NCAA Tournament.

I’ve been watching a lot of the Big East games this year and none of them play defense at the same level as UK. It’s all offense so they’re going to have problems when they run into sound defenses.

Florida is missing a lot of point blank shots that don't really have a lot to do with the defense

For all the angst this team has brought us this year.
They sure handled the SEC tourney better than last year’s team. Convincing wins and good momentum heading into the NCAA.
