The quick answer to that question would be no, and I cannot say that I have a lot of evidence to the contrary. However, We now know that Ole Miss, Penn State, and some other spots are going to open up for next year, with announcements expected on some coaching spots soon. Miss State has probably solidified their slot for the next year or two as Mullen is making strides, but there are other slots that could fall in the wake of ongoing investigations by the NCAA in the state of Florida. These may not all be Head Coaching slots, but as HC jobs become available, their staffs also open up.
Conference realignment may also take a toll on things, as some coaches may not be willing to take the next step, depending on where they are in their careers at this point.
So, all you Wildcat experts out there, are the ripple effects going to flow out all the way to Lexington?
We know that Joker is not going anywhere, but will his staff stay intact? Will there be offers to go elsewhere? Will UK make changes as potential candidates become available from other staffs?
