UNC has just lost to UNLV
We all know the #1 rank is going to be earned by someone next week, but how many people out there thought #1 UK would be hosting #2 UNC when it came time???
I only caught the second half but UNLV shot lights out and out-hustled UNC. I'm sure they'll bring a much better effort to Rupp, but I just don't see this UNC team beating us next week. i really can't wait for this game. Go Cats!

They will be #2 no doubt,
they are much too much the media darlings.
I woke up feeling BLUE this morning. It's gonna be a great day.

Tarheel Paul said about the game:
This is what happens when you play good teams and you can’t rebound or shoot free throws. For the life of me I cannot figure out how a front line of 6’8", 6’10", and 7’0, cant rebound worth a crap. But lets be serious, anytime the other team hits that many 3’s, chances are you are going to get beat.
that was about 4% of the entire game post by the by, and one poster of the 6 (!) was a UNLV fan. LOL
When I read that post
from the UNC fan, I realize that on an off night, with what we’ve seen so far, they could be us.

Yeah, Carolina March is not a very active blog.
They have been reluctant to add people to help with content, I guess. But to be fair, like us they have serious competition for pageviews — the Rivals UNC site is large and popular, and there are many others.
The problem with North Carolina in this game was twofold: 1) they put too much pressure on UNLV, and could not recover quickly enough. Despite their size, they are not a quick team when recovering on defense. 2) They took way too many challenged shots and refused to run any half-court offense. When they did run the offense, they scored in bunches, but then they would just start jacking up challenged shots.
This game was lost by not understanding how to play a team like UNLV. They were not prepared for the team that showed up, and they panicked.
