Saturday's game is on............................
Well, it's not on until 11pm. Not to mention it is on the same crappy channel WMYO 58. The game is listed as being on FSS, but if you go to their website it is listed as being on at 4pm. Not sure what the scheduling mix up is, but this better get fixed. There is no reason I can't see the #2 team in the country live, in HD, and from my couch. It's crappy enough I had to order the darn "sports pack" through Directv just to get FSS. Why can't UK basketball be like ND or Texas football and be on TV every time they play?????? Are we not the craziest, most loyal fans out there?? Just ask Cal. I guarantee people don't camp out for days for a ND or Texas scrimmage.

umm...
It’s on FSS at 7pm.
And you can’t be on TV every single time because you haven’t signed an exclusive contract with a major network, and third tier home rights are owned by ESPN. Every conference game is guaranteed to be televised though.
It is supposed to be on FSS
DirectTv shows that it isn’t. Hopefully that will change in the next few games.
I get what you are saying about contracts, I was just ranting. :)
The game tonight - Wednesday - is supposted to be shown on UK's IMG network
And they list two Louisville stations which I do receive but lo and behold neither one is showing the game. Why does UK bother having these affiliated stations if the clowns don’t show the games…?

It is on FSS, at least in KY
I had to pay an additional $7 a month for 30 extra channels on DirectTv.
Something I found out today. If you, or anyone in your family has an Xbox 360, you can get the ESPN3 games via the ESPN feature. They are in HD and easy to get. Hope you can get it somehow.
that's the part that burns me up--
FS South isn’t on the regular cable/satelite package, and you have to add a Sports Pack or whatever to get it—even when common sense would dictate that FS South would be the proper geographic choice for the area. Where I live, in far west Kentucky, we get FS Ohio instead of South on the regular package, which is just in-freakin’-sane. It is so clear that western Kentucky is far more “South” than it is “Ohio,” that were I a conspiracy theorist, I would think that executives had sat down and made decisions based on what would require more people to purchase more expensive packages to see their teams. Is that too cynical of me??
I refuse to cave and add the extra package to see a handful lower level nonconference games (I would actually vote to lose cable alltogether in my household but my husband virulently disagrees), so comfort myself with listening on the radio/trying to stay up for the tape delay/watching piss poor internet feeds, all the while loudly complaining to anyone who will listen.

no such luck
according to my guide, I have Baylor/Texas Tech football instead of the UK game. On FS Ohio. Unless I am way worse at geography that I thought, this makes not a lick of sense. Maybe I’ll luck out and it will actually be on and the guide is wrong.

I honestly thought years back years ago that in the future with the explosion of cable and internet services as we have today
That I would never-ever have to watch a taped delayed game at 11:00 pm again – wrong….! I get up at 3:30 am each day to go to work, can I stay up till 1:00 am to watch a tape – hell no. This goes back to when WAVE TV in Louisville would show all these at home games at 11:00 while the Louisville fans could watch their Cards live it seemed any game. That really pissed me off. Now lo and behold the same crappy history is repeating itself.

It's crazy.
Yeah, you would think advancing technology would help, wouldn’t you? I mean, obviously it has, but not in the ways you’d think. My dad is a big St Louis Cardnals fan. He used to be able to watch all their games with the most basic package. There were several years where he says he believes he saw at least part of every single game they played that year…he’s disabled and retired, not a complete layabout, by the way;) Now my parents have to add something that costs an extra $10 a month to get all the games that used to be shown anyway. I lived in Nashville for several years, we had a basic cable package, and I never, EVER missed a game due to it not being on television. Now that I’m in state, I always miss a several every season.
I really am not usually that suspicious of a person, but I have a hard time believing this isn’t part of a purposeful policy by cable/satellite providers to cause the customers to have to purchase more expensive packages to see their favored teams.
