Feast Week College Basketball Open Thread: Monday Edition
I'm going to try to remember to put up a college basketball open thread every night this week to capture general chat about the games going, especially in big tournaments like the Maui Classic.
Here are tonight's games. Enjoy.

Yes sir.
Tennessee looks a lot better than I thought they would. Duke most likely wins but tennessee giving great effort.

Yeah, I'm surprised at how good Tennessee looks.

Nice effort by Tennesse.
Just not enough talent. But a tough, scrappy team. They may be better than expected this year.

I think we're already readjusting our goals on RTT
going from “avoid the bottom three in the SEC” to “tournament? maybe? please.” Either way, I’m already all in on Cuonzo. He obviously doesn’t promote as well, but after watching Pearl’s halfcourt offenses, this is a breath of fresh air.

Very impressed by how hard and well UT played.
Very impressed.

thanks
hopefully we can sustain that over the season. Also, if you only watched the first half, you’d have missed our best player. Trae Golden will be is the best point guard Tennessee has had since CJ Watson. I think he’s already better than Bobby Maze.

Golden
I only got to see part of the second half, but I was very impressed by Golden. I know he was on UK’s radar at one time. He would have been a good get.
Golden had a horrible outing vs Memphis, though.
Made some plays, but some real bad decisions on offense and defense, and really struggled in the second half and overtimes. His first “bad” performance of the season. We’ll see if it holds, he’s looked very good outside of that.

Boom. Here comes the Boom. Braydy or not. Here comes the boy from the West.
agree, he was terrible this afternoon
hopefully, from the Vol perspective, this is the anomaly and the last few weeks are the standard.
But Maymon was a man tonight. 32 points, 20 boards. Last three players to get 30 & 20 are Griffin, Beasley, and Durant.

I haven't gotten a chance to see the Vols play yet.
I’m looking forward to it. It’s just that that shade of orange is… ;)
you catch how Tennessee wore orange and Memphis wore blue?
why don’t the two of us do that? Every single time. Seriously, it’d be flippin’ awesome.

Indiana looked good beating Gardner Webb by 30
The youngest Zeller is a good ball player. He needs to get stronger, like all freshmen, but he has really changed that team. Olipado looks real good too.
Though, to be fair,
Gardner Webb sucks. (They really do, and I can say this knowing a few people on the team this year, as Boiling Springs is my girlfriend’s hometown and I’ll be down there tomorrow for Thanksgiving break. And it’s still really fun to troll you guys about that game.)

Tennessee hung tough for 33 minutes.
I’m impressed. Missouri looked even more impressive. I’m going to try to stay up for Georgetown-Kansas. I want teams that we beat to do well, but our all-time wins margin over KU is too thin for my liking. Go Hoyas! (wow, that was hard to say)

I spent 10 minutes with it and I still can't comprehend any of it

Wow
Glenn,
Can you slow down the refresh? I can’t read that fast. :>)
I was hoping Chaminade might pull the upset
Oh well. Congrats to Vandy for beating an Oregon St team that might be better than a lot of people thought.

What the crap?!
The “local athletes deserve applause” article lists Calipari with Sandusky and Tressel (as disgraced coaches). I’m so tired of idiots like that.
