Kentucky Wildcats (2) 28, Kansas Jayhawks (12) 28: Second Half Open Game Thread

The 'Cats looked ugly in the first half. (via Rosemobile)

This game is not at all what we hoped for, but quite possibly what we should have expected -- butt ugly and a plain mess.  Kansas, to their great credit, has out-toughed Kentucky and completely negated the talent advantage Kentucky enjoys.  Their ball pressure has completely bamboozled Marquis Teague, who has had a rough introduction to big-time Division I college basketball.

But despite all the hideous basketball, Kentucky got out of the half tied and KU has a bunch of fouls on a thin bench.  We'll have to wait and see if that makes a difference, but if UK doesn't get a lot tougher and more disciplined, this game could wind up being close at the end.  That is a recipe for an upset.

When the going gets tough, the tough gets going.  Let's see if these 'Cats have it.
