PrintOK.....here is today's open thread for the basketball marathon.....some really good games so far as West Virginia has already fallen and Memphis flirted with disaster for about 35 minutes today. Morehead St. fell hard today, as they just didn't have the size and the guns to keep up with Bobby Cremins' College of Charleston squad.
This thread will serve for all games leading up to tonight's Cats game, then Glenn takes over. Louisville tip off is right now scheduled for about 4:15, and San Diego state is currently giving the Baylor Bears all they can handle for the first half and the second half is not going much better for the #12 team in the nation. If these games are any indicators, the Cats may well have their hands full tonight as well.
So settle in, throw a log on the fire, light up that LED screen and enjoy the afternoon and evening as this has been some kind of a hoops day already. And tonight should just get better.

I was almost thinking he actually committed to UK and then decommitted when Tubby left, but maybe I’m not remembering that part correctly. I’m certain that he was a big Tubby recruit though, and that’s why it seems like he has been at MSU for FOREVER. Think of the ups and downs and ups UK’s been through in that time. It boggles the mind.

It just doesn’t matter to me in this context. I am quite sure that Vitale is a good person, at least he really comes off that way, but I can’t stand to listen to him. Knight, I think is probably a dick but to me he’s competent and not-annoying at calling a game. And how they are at calling games in the only way I’m interested in either.

Anyone have an idea of what the Cats can expect out of Eloy this year?
More of the same or did he improve a little over the summer? I realize he’ll never be a threat but just bring some energy, shotblocking, and rebounding in 8-10 mins a night and I’ll be happy.
He is most definitely improved on the hustle side....
still not a great shooter…but he is better at footwork and rebounding

can grab a rebound or two and alter/block a shot or two a night. That’s it.

He has both.

On paper at least. No one can ever foresee a shooting performance
like they had against WVU. That loss will haunt me for the rest of my life. That team was just better than everyone else that year. History was altered when that team didn’t beat WVU. Still nauseating.
He never shoots unless, you call a point blank look a shot lol (j/k)
he has no post moves, cant jump over the Lexington phone book and gets blocked or stripped seemingly everytime he tries to go up for a shot.

I think if he had a more polished game, as far as finishing moves go, he would get alot of playing time

No the tickets are for the pair of games.
Cheapest tickets I could find on stubhub last week were around $150 for the top corners
