My blogpoll ballot for this week is little changed from last. The LSU Tigers still reign at the top of the poll, but the Oklahoma Sooners by dint of their dismantling of the top 10 Texas Longhorns in the Red River Rivalry jump Alabama to the #2 spot. Sorry, Tide, but whipping up on Vanderbilt just doesn't have the same panache as crushing a huge rival and scoring over half a hundred in the process.
There were very few big jumps in the poll this week, but one was obviously Texas, as they were exposed as pretenders rather than contenders in the Big 12. Arkansas bounced up a bit more by defeating the Auburn Tigers, who joined the Florida Gators in dropping off my ballot. It sucks to drop off two SEC teams, but Florida has just had a horrible two weeks in which they were trounced thoroughly by Alabama and LSU respectively, and you don't expect a Florida team to be outscored 79-21 in two back-to-back games.
In the lower half of the poll, Baylor made a nice move due to to a convincing victory over Iowa St., and Texas A&M bounced back from a tough loss at Arkansas to defeat Texas Tech on the road.
Houston makes a debut on my ballot after a 6-0 start, and Georgia finds its way back to my ballot by defeating the Tennessee Volunteers on the road.
