Not Bad For Openers

There's not a coach in the country who expects perfection in the season opener, and there shouldn't be any fans expecting perfection either.  The fact that Kentucky didn't have any turnovers at Louisville should be a good trade-off for all the penalties, and with so many new faces on UK's defensive unit, I think they performed surprisingly well.  It was a lot better than Florida's lackluster offensive performance in their opener.

Perfection in the opener ....

Majority of teams start the season with a weak opponent (unlike LSU/UNC) … its a good learning tool to make adjustments with. I think if UK had made even one turnover Saturday it could have very well cost them the game …

In Georgia Tech’s opener … they scored 41 points and had 384 yards total offense … but, were just 1 of 6 passing for a total of 8 yards. Several players will lose their start next week because of a lack of effort. .. walking around etc… they did win the game though.
