Rivals broke the 2010 Preseason All-American teams yesterday and Randall Cobb's name is not among the players anywhere. There is no way anyone is telling me that Randall Cobb is not one of the 78 best players in the country in collegiate football. Maybe it is because they don't know what to do with him, maybe they don't have a clue what they are doing. But Cobb not even making the third team AA is a joke, or a travesty, whichever way you want to look at it.
Maybe the criteria needs to be reviewed, maybe a player position needs to be created for an "all-purpose" player, but no one does what Randall Cobb does any better than him in college. No one.
