Around SBN: Jeremy Lin And How The Pac-12 Missed Him

Monday Afternoon Linkage: Rick Pitino, Andre' Woodson, and Greg Edwards' First Post

Here are some links to fill your Monday afternoon:

The Karen Sypher trial is underway in Louisville.  For a solid story on opening remarks, the Courier-Journal's Rick Bozich has this -- I'm sure this spectacle can't end soon enough for Pitino.

Former UK quarterback Andre' Woodson is taking his game to the UFL -- I'm not alone in wishing Woodson the best of luck as he continues his quest for an NFL team.

Jody Demling has a nice wrap-up of the Fab 48 Las Vegas AAU event

And finally, our own Greg Edwards, aka, ALLBLUCAT, has published his first post for Wildcat Blue Blog -- Be sure and give it a read.  Congratulations to Greg!!

Ken,

Just in a short statement, why has Andre ended up in this predicament? Is the NFL evaluation correct? In your opinion.

I am Dracula. I bid you welcome.

I'm not expert on what it takes to be an NFL QB, but

supposedly there is a “hitch” in his throwing motion, which slows it down. In other words, he doesn’t get rid of the ball quick enough. I think that’s his major problem.

With that being said, he is extremely accurate, and has plenty of arm, so I’m really at a loss as to why someone hasn’t either been able to fix the throwing motion problem, or put the time in to alleviate that weakness.

I do watch quite a bit on the NFL, and I’ve seen some pretty gawd awful QB’s come through the league over the also five years or so, and I just can’t believe Woodson isn’t better, and in some cases, much better than a number of guys who are on rosters.

I really hope he catches on, because like Dicky Lyons, he’s a really nice guy, and deserves a legitimate chance.

That and he drops the ball down in his motion, which makes him fumble prone.

Tebow has the same problem, but since he walks on water no one says anything about it.

Then it comes to be that the soothing light at the end of your tunnel, is just a freight train coming your way...

Exactly right

That’s the “hitch” I was speaking of. He starts his motion real low … don’t ask me how that hasn’t been “fixed.”
