Wherein Kansas (among others) loses all credibility as a program

Look at this tweet from Stewart Mandel of SI.com:

Unbelievable. The five "leftovers" (KU, KSU, ISU, BU, Mizzou) agreed to sign over their share of CU/NU's buyout money to UT/OU/A&M.

Yes, you read that right. Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Baylor, and Missouri are giving the money they were supposed to get from Nebraska and Colorado leaving the conference to Texas, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M.

Seriously....

So let me get this straight. Kansas (and others) were so affraid of standing up to the big dogs of the Big 12 (minus 2), that they are bribing their masters to stay...pretty pretty please stay. Kansas, one of the most storied baskeball programs of all time, has been reduced to begging their "superiors" to not take their ball and go home. Fans of these programs should be absolutely ashamed of their administrations. Grow a pair.

UPDATE:

That TV deal that was supposedly on the table, yeah not so much.
