Wear twins leaving UNC
"Freshman basketball forwards David and Travis Wear - McDonald's All-Americas and Best in the West selections as seniors at Mater Dei High - will not be returning to the University of North Carolina, their father told the Press-Telegram tonight.
Dave Wear said he discussed the decision with Tar Heels' coach Roy Williams earlier in the evening by telephone and that he hoped that his sons would be released from their scholarship agreements with the school ``as early as Thursday"."
They were definitely overrated coming out of high school, but they were needed to provide any semblance of front court depth for UNC next year. Especially in Zeller pulls another Mr. Glass routine next year, or the twig of a power forward (Henson) can't take the beatings night in and night out... It could be another tough year in Chapel Hill.

Hrmmmm... well that didn't format like I wanted it to
The first two paragraphs are quotes from the article.
The last paragraph were my thoughts.
Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."
I really do wonder why ...
… they are leaving. that doesn’t seem all that clear to me.
A Sea of Blue -- Kentucky Sports for the Discerning Fan
Wore "thin" Twins.
Friends and fellow dudes, I wish their whole team would walk out. Mabye these twins believe they have a problem with ever getting any playing time at UNC. Then again they
may have been given a gift for doing so. Man, you just never know how UK will rub off on
these “elite programs”. Seems like we are accused of being responsible for all that is bad in college basketball. Of course UCLA under Lavin is never brought up. Neither is UNLV under Tarkanian. Why is this? It all goes back to the hate by the press for Adolph
Rupp. He took that old bunch of “Hillbillies” basketball program to the pinnacle of the roundball world. He was also frank and honest with the press about things that weren’t any of their business. For this we have earned their eternal scorn. That’s OK though. UK fans have broad backs. We may get knocked down but we get right back up.
