Brandon Knight Stood Out Most at Nike Hoop Summit Practice
DraftExpress.com's Matt Kamalsky reports on day two of the Nike Hoop Summit Practices. In his report, Kamalsky states that Kentucky recruit Brandon Knight is the player that stood out the most today.
In other news, Evan Turner was selected as the recipient of the John R. Wooden Award. Congratulations to Evan, and to all the Wooden Award nominees. Links:

Turner, Syracuse’s Wesley Johnson and Kentucky’s John Wall were also in attendance at the ceremony, with the former two making an in-audience appearance on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live last night. Wall was also scheduled to appear on the show, but missed the taping due to an exam. [emphasis mine]
So academics don't matter to Kentucky players, eh? Somebody forgot to tell John Wall.

John Wall
and his friends have been a pretty class act as far as i’m concerned. As I understand it, Orton fully intends to honor his commitment to his classes and to leave, if indeed he does leave, in good standing and not be a detriment to the program. Some people questioned the one-and-done group’s ‘loyalty’. This group came together as a TEAM, fought hard and came up a little short of their goals. You could see their comradrie in the cheers for Krebs 3. And, I for one, think they cared about the University of Kentucky and it’s fans. With the exceptions of Orton and Hood, this group of young men came to UK because they wanted to play for Cal, not because they wanted to play for UK. Mercenaries? Maybe………in the beginning. But, they won us over and I think we won them over, too. Was there some bickering during the course of the season? You bet! But, show me a family or an organization that doesnt have some bickering and differences of opinion. These are talented guys that wanted to play and wanted to win. We didnt get to hang #8, but I’m as proud as a peacock of John Wall, DeMarcus Cousins, Pat Patterson, Eric Bledsoe(THE dunk!) and Daniel Orton. Not only for their skills on the court, but because they’re GOOD PEOPLE. I’m looking forward to watching them in the NBA. We wont forget this team, they did us proud. Though their stay here was all to brief, they are, were and will always be………….KENTUCKY WILDCATS! Thanks for the memories, fellas!
I miss John Wall already. :(
It is not worth an intelligent man’s time to be in the majority. By definition, there are already enough people to do that.

Good for JW
Missing a TV appearance because of academics. At least we think he did an admirable thing.

Indeed.
And it belies many of the critic’s claims.
