Around SBN: Jeremy Lin's Game-Winner Was Incredible, Worth Remembering

Big Steps!

Cal has stated that winning the SEC is "nothing" Winning the tittle may not be much to a man who has no history in this league! The SEC is a proud league. These other schools have his statement taped on their walls. The next two games are steps, big steps on the way to an 8th. banner. They are just as important or more so than NCAA games. We need these two and the tournament tittle to let the world know that, Yes we are for real and we came for another tittle! Go Big Blue!

True statement.

"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." WHOA!

Are you questioning a statement made by the Wildcat leader?
No way he is wrong. Never, not today, yesterday, or any time in his or our lifetime.
Are you trying to lose your standing with the experts of the ASOB?
Remember this is a man who has been to the Final Four, twice.
Its not about records of the 2000 variety or any other.
This is about getting to the Final Game and winning.
Some may say its about and keeping the win but we don’t need to worry about that here.
CAl’s word is as good as it gets and don’t forget that.

I have be correctly accused of having a 'football fetish'. You know, someone who doesn't think football is the warm up sport to basketball season.

Why don't you just

start pulling for Louisville, maybe your sarcasm will be appreciated there.

As a "solutions guy"

I’m curious what your solutions to the coming Calipari induced apocalypse (as you see it) are? Not hindsight, but moving forward to remove the “stain of NCAA impropriety” that you see around Coach Cal, and by extension ,UK. We are NOW at a certain place where either way it is historic what will happen to the program. Why not enjoy what success we are having now, and IF YOU ARE RIGHT , enjoy it more later when you can say “I told you so”. I don’t think you will get that opportunity. I believe Cal has that opportunity to make his mark and swell his enormous ego he has always wanted, and he is going to milk that for all it is worth.

Well, at least he didn't say

what Rick Barnes said. He is quoted at ESPN as saying this

We would love to win a national championship, but we’re not obsessed with it because we’re obsessed with these guys trying to live their NBA dream

You can read more here. Rick Barnes just blew your mind. I think we would need professional mental help in the Bluegrass….lol

Blue... there is no other color to Bleed !!!

I think there's some merit to what Barnes has said.

What, truly, is the role of college basketball from a player’s perspective? Would you rather win a national championship, or focus more on developing your professional earning potential? I would want to do both, butttt……

oh lord

You’re right, that would NOT go over in Kentucky! Good thing those rumors about UK going after Barnes the last time around didn’t pan out.
