I must say I was pulling for UL last ngiht and they played really poorly. I mean, they acted like they did not care. Not hitting shots is one thing but the defense and effort was pathetic.
I am OK with losing but go down trying… I know this is not going to happen for these Cats. The effort will be there!
Keys to win:
1) Get back in transition. These guys like to run when available. Watch out for transition 3s!
2) Stop penetration. The point guard is lightning quick and penetrates well.
3) Rebound. WF got too many second chances against Texas. UK SHOULD be able to dominate the boards.
4) Shoot if open. WF clogged the middle against Texas. If shooters drive and do not shoot when open that will equal a turnover which will equal points (See #1). If they shoot and hit KY by 25 point. If they shoot and miss, Pat and Cuz both get double doubles and UK by 12 points. (See 3). If they drive into traffic, UK gets 25+ turnovers then the game is tight, UK wins by 1 in OT.
Good fundamental club... WW's probably watching with a big ol' grin on his face!

It doesn’t matter what SMU or ‘Nova do today…. neither will be around long to give puke any trouble… they are both irrelevant…. do hope Baylor gets a chance to play puke… Z’s are keeping ’Nova in this game, if you call being down 9 in the game.
While neither may make it to the Elite 8
It does matter. I know, in Kentucky we are only supposed to care about banners, but the whole tournament is important. I would think that missing the tournament last year would remind UK fans how great the entire tournament is. Let’s not be so spoiled that we can’t enjoy the first weekend.

Did enjoy the 1st round very much… so pleased to see so many double digit seeds win.. the only point I’m making is neither of these 2 teams will be around to give puke anymore of game than they had in the ACC tourney… don’t want to give anyone fuel for thought but, Miami finished deadass lasst in the ACC but beat WF in the ACC tourney by 20… someone had to win in the WF/TU… surprised it didn’t last another OT..

Is UNC playing better or did MSU play that poorly? That was in Starkville, wasn’t it?

My bracket is Nova
but StM has looked impressive and wouldn’t mind them winning; picked Nova to lose next round, anyway. Fundamentally sound, good execution and serious, steady play. They take a very businesslike approach to the game. Sounds like they’ve got some pretty good crowd support, too.

I just don’t realistically see how either of them can challenge from this point forward.
(you could argue Jay Wright sabotaged his 2 seed …. team seemed to play snakebit)
adding additional teams to the tournament would bring more of the same match-ups ..
If you wanted to add 3 teams by having 3 more play-in games – OK …. but to go to 96 Nah

Duke got the easiest #2 seed in their bracket. But that’s good, makes it easier for them to get to the final four where we can go toe to toe with hamster-face.
IF....we both get there......it will the the highest rated game since Houston played UCLA
in the Astrodome.

I’ve got a sarcastic streak that’s about 3/4 of a mile wide, so I always do that to take the edge off of some of the things I say. Innuendo and subtle humor don’t translate well on the Web. Only disadvantage to this, IMO.

nerves are not being helped by this game at all…….I wonder if our boys are listening? I wonder how you handle that? Kansas loses which seems to be Kentucky’s biggest threat and they get cocky tonight or that he lets them know so that they can realize that every team can get beat if they don’t play well.
I don't think Kansas has ever been a threat. But that's just me.

First, KU will not make it to the final four. They have a lack of character that is more a matter of personality than ability on the court. A sort of sneering superiority that exists in a few of their players which works well for the class bully, but not so well when facing the less predictable milieu of serious competition of the do-or-die NCAA tournament. This self-deluding contempt for opponents will leave them open for a blind-side from a team with a big right hook. I say, look for Kansas to falter in the Sweet 16 if not earlier.

A 9 seed for UNI? Are 35 teams better than them? Not to mention Maryland/Michigan St and the 4/5.
