Vote for John Wall

The Cousy Award has voting  online.   This award is given to the best point guard in college basket ball each season...Seems a shame to the an opportunity to vote for a UK player pass.

All you need is an email address to vote.  So feel free to vote with as many addresses as you have!  I love the way the Big Blue Nation dominates this sort of online polling.  Let's see if we can do it again.

I voted. : )

Also, I was kind of curious as to how big a role the fans’ voting actually meant in the ultimate outcome and this is what I found:

The player that receives the most fan votes will receive one vote toward the final committee vote. Fan voting will run one month – beginning February 5and will conclude March 5.

So, the good news is that even if Wall doesn’t get the most fan votes, he can certainly still win the award by receiving the most committee votes.

Voting Ends Today

Now every time I see Wall I’m going to think of Bob Cousy. Wonder how they would compare in the turn over departemnt?
I don’t know that much about the other players but I’d say comparing a college player like Wall to Cousy is sorta like comparing the leading home run guy on the No.1 college baseball team to Hank Aaron.

I have be correctly accused of having a 'football fetish'. You know, someone who doesn't think football is the warm up sport to basketball season.

Awesome!

I had a feeling many of the votes for Greivis Vasquez were coming from an automated source…The way he pulled ahead over night, but Wall would pull close to even during the day. My hope was when they tallied they would drop the obvious automation….and based on the final numbers it looks like they did!

Go John!
