Around SBN: Dog Football! Which Breeds Are Best Suited For The Gridiron?

Here are a few WILD predictions I want to spew before the selection.

First, KU will not make it to the final four.  They have a lack of character that is more a matter of personality than ability on the court.  A sort of sneering superiority that exists in a few of their players which works well for the class bully, but not so well when facing the less predictable milieu of serious competition of the do-or-die NCAA tournament.  This self-deluding contempt for opponents will leave them open for a blind-side from a team with a big right hook.  I say, look for Kansas to falter in the Sweet 16 if not earlier.

Mississippi State is in.  Count on it.

Texas will make it to the Elite Eight.

Duke will make it to the Final Four instead of faltering early, as they have done the last few years.  They won't win it, though.

About all I have time for right now.  My baby doll is sick and needs attention.  Let's see what happens.

With the benefit

of having just watched the selections, I sure hope Texas doesn’t make it to the elite eight and Miss St. will have to go to the NIT. You could be right about KU since they have some tough teams in their bracket.

The final four will consist of this:

2 teams from BIG 12
1 team from SEC
1 team from BIG 10

You can guess the SEC team :)…..no BIG EAST teams in FF….and of the 2 BIG 12 teams, neither is KU.

Vanderbilt?

haha, I think UK will make it to the FF as well.

I have to confess SD, I am glad these were "wild" predictions

because for them to come true, we must fall in the second round to Texas……Miss St has already not gotten in…..I do agree on Duke though….that one wasnt so wild. But the Kansas prediction????

I give you the love :)....

Glad they lost…KU & Duke are up there in my “I hope they lose an agonizing defeat” category.

Dig it, and thanks even though I don't deserve it (contrary to my boisterous post)

Thing is, until this dry spell we’ve been through the last few years, I had no enmity for Kansas. I rather liked them, unless they were playing us. But then, once we got Calipari and The Crew, I saw a side of Kansas fans that I’d never noticed before. And the smirks on the faces of their players sealed the deal for me.

From that realization on, I decided that I wanted two things badly this year:
1) Kansas folds as usual
2) UK does the foldin’.

I guess one out two will do.
