Pete Barth 2 cents worth: Recruiting totally out of hand | sheboyganpress.com | Sheboygan Press
Heh. If he thinks this opinion is worth $.02, he is flattering himself unmercifully. But I truly had no idea Lane Kiffin had been taking recruiting advice from Billy Gillispie.
Just a little more hate to embrace.

Of our last 2 coaches,
Calipari would be the last coach that I would have predicted to be used in that article for comparison to Kiffin. Seems they’ll do anything to drag the Calipari name through the mud.

Whats really disturbing
Is that he gets paid to write that ignorant muck.
Of course its difficult, its a shortcut... if it was easy it'd just be "the way."

UK Has Never Had 1 & Done FROSH
But LeRoy Edwards (1935) and Tom Payne (1971) were 1 & Done SOPH players at UK.

Will Wall stay longer than Kiffin did at Tennessee?
I have be correctly accused of having a 'football fetish'. You know, someone who doesn't think football is the warm up sport to basketball season.
As Cal said
He better not.
Your draft stock can’t go any higher than number 1.

The article equated Wall's court savy
To Steve Nash; maybe a little premature for that
"all the way"
So where is the article wrong?

You know Paris, a class like the one Calipari has put together this year
is one out of 1000. We mey never see a class this talented again. I really hope that isn’t the case, but it is possible. When these kids came in, Wall was the only player in the group that had the potential to be a one and done. Cousins has now played himself into the position of possibly being as highly regarded a draft choice as Wall. If the guy doesnt like that, then fine, he is entitled to his opinion. But to make blanket statements like “Calipari is turning Kentucky into a one and done factory” is pure unadulterated horse manure, and he knows it, and frankly so should you. The man has only been on campus less than a year. If 10 years from now, Calipari has had 20 one and dones, THEN he can make that statement. If he’s mad at Kiffin, then that’s fine too, but gripe at Kiffin, dont add Calipari into the mix to up your hit count on the net. I am a little disappointed. Usually you look a little deeper into something, even if you get the context wrong.
Remember, we're having fun now!!!
