4* TE Alex Smith will sign with Kentucky Football
This is a little better. We have a major need at that spot.

I'm not sold on Simpson.
I’ve always thought you need to recruit your own state well to win. Most of the state’s talent is in the Louisville area, and it’s going to be tough competing with Charlie Strong for some of these kids.

ditto
I’ve seen him play too….against good teams……he is the real deal.
First time I shot her, shot her in the side.
Hard to watch her suffer, but with the second shot she died...
I've seen him as well.
Watched the 6A state final when Trinity beat Simon Kenton 48-0. Thought he was a step slow, especially for SEC talent.
I would love, love, love to be wrong (as long as he commits to UK)

I am him, and I'm good :)
Haven’t seen the kid play, but if he’s going to get PT at UK in the next few years, he better be darn good, because Donald Russell and Coshik Williams are both really good.
I disagree
The tri-state area in Ashland/Russell seems to compete against the big city schools very well. Paul Blazer and Russell have both overcame horrible seeding to win multiple state championships for decades.

I love it!
Ky born recruits, AND Coach! Joker probably hates losing to UT as much as I do!

He is sure posting more twitter messages now that he has more time. Does anyone else get the sense that he is still involved with the program, even though he is retired? I guess I’m glad he’s still interested.
I was thinking the exact same thing.
It is especially remarkabale considering this tweet after his retirement press conference:
Won’t be twittering as much and just want to thank all the big blue nation for the ride the last 4 year especially. It has been a blast.
Maybe he still has the itch?

From BG, he was the No. 26 rated TE out of high school. He originally attended Colorado, but has transferred to UK.
Should be quite a battle at the TE spot for the next few years, and the depth will certainly help.
All we need is 15 more 4-star recruits and Paris can relax.....lol.....
I am glad to see this kid come into the picture……now if we can get the rest of that O-line up to speed, it will be a major coup……
Remember, we're having fun now!!!
Brook's staff were excellent about coaching up the line
Recently, he basically created a line out of whatever he had, and they hung on till graduation and played well. If we could just coach away pre snap penaties…
