FOOTBALL: CATS A STEP AHEAD OF NEW NCAA RULE

Kentucky ESCAPES NEW RULE

The Wildcats proved to be a step anead of the rule cmooittee again with the naming of Joker Phillips as the head man this year.
Just like the ruling on Midnight Madness, again the NCAA has decided to "nip in the bud", thanks, Barney Fife, as far as allowing the head coach in waiting being our side the guidelines of recruiting.

It looks like the guy in waiting is going to have to dance to the same rules as the head coach.

Now only Texas and Maryland have guys lined up to take over, no matter if there is a basketful of good coaches available.  Wonder if something went bad at Texas and they had a couple of 7-5 seasons, would still honor the coach in waiting with the position? Sure they would, winning in football isn't that important in the Lone Star State is it?
